Originally designed in 1938 Buenos Aires, Argentina by architects Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan, and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy (BKF is derived from their three last names) who later went on to form the architectural collective Grupo Austral. MoMA in NYC added it to their collection in 1940, launching the chair to iconic status. Production of this chair was interrupted by shortage of metal during wartime, but after WW2 the US production rights were acquired by Hans Knoll of Knoll Furniture. Our frame has signs of use and wear, but is in good condition and ready for you to customize with a seat cover of your own choosing, from a multitude of on-line options (must be purchased separately by you). We have two of these chair frames - purchase one or both! Perfect for any room or situation and a perfect blend of comfort and iconic style.
